Welcome to the 2026–2027 Program Year!

I am truly honored and excited to serve as your Trenton Chapter President, and I look forward to working alongside all of you to make this another successful and rewarding year for our chapter.

First, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Eric Fonseca for his leadership during the 2025–2026 program year. I would also like to thank the entire board for their dedication and hard work in making our chapter’s programs and events so successful. Their commitment has helped our chapter continue to grow.

I would also like to congratulate our chapter on earning the Gold Level Achievement in Chapter Excellence (ACE) Award from AGA National. This recognition reflects the dedication of our volunteers and members, and it is an accomplishment we should all be proud of.

This July, I will have the opportunity to attend my first in-person National PDT and LEAD! conference. I am excited to learn from AGA leaders across the country, bring back new ideas, and share those experiences with our chapter throughout the year.

As President, one of my primary goals is to strengthen our relationships with other state agencies, colleges, and universities. I believe engaging students and young professionals early in their careers is essential to the continued growth and success of our chapter. I also look forward to continuing our tradition of providing exceptional educational, networking, and professional development opportunities through both virtual and in-person events.

For those who may not know me, I graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have proudly worked for the New Jersey Office of the State Auditor for the past eight years. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cheering on all of the Philadelphia sports teams, and spending time with my dog, Bear.

Most importantly, I want every member to know that I am here to support you. I value your ideas, feedback, and involvement, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions throughout the year. Together, we can continue building a chapter that provides meaningful opportunities and lasting connections for all of our members.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the Trenton Chapter. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and working together to make the 2026–2027 program year an exceptional one. Wishing you all a successful, healthy, and enjoyable year ahead!

Warm regards,

Amanda Ireland
