Paul Vidunas Memorial Fund

The Paul Vidunas Memorial Fund was established in 1998 shortly after the death of then Trenton Chapter President Paul Vidunas. During his lifetime, Paul was an enthusiastic volunteer for various community-based organizations. The establishment of a fund that would support a variety of community service groups seemed a fitting tribute to his memory.

Animal Welfare Association (AWA)

Located in Voorhees, NJ, AWA is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that provides shelter, adoption services, veterinary care, foster programs, and community outreach to animals and families throughout South Jersey. They work to help homeless animals find loving homes while also providing resources that help families keep their pets healthy and safe.

AWA has several fundraising events throughout the year. Some of those include Dogleg Golf Invitational, Phillies Ticket Phundraiser, Kitten Yoga, and Howl-O-Ween Bash.

• Adoption and rescue: AWA provides homes for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals.
• No-kill philosophy: AWA states that animals are not euthanized because of space, length of stay, or treatable/manageable medical conditions.
• Low-cost veterinary care: The organization provides affordable veterinary services, vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, wellness care and other services to help people keep their pets.
• Community programs: Their work goes beyond the shelter, with outreach programs designed to make pet ownership more affordable and accessible in South Jersey.
• Volunteers and fosters: Volunteers can help at the shelter and clinic, with community events, outreach, or by fostering animals.
• Local impact: Their 2023 reported results included 2,162 adoptions, a 96% save rate, and thousands of veterinary procedures and vaccines.
